Jianlong Malaysia East Steel 1450mm hot rolled strip project starts construction

On April 23, China 22 Metallurgy won the bid for the construction and safety of 1450mm hot-rolled steel strip (the main part of civil construction in the first bid section and the installation part in the third bid section) of East Steel Malaysia.
　　
The project is located in Malaysia Terengganu state Ganmara Telok Karon Industrial Development Zone, mainly including 3 slab heating furnaces, high-pressure water descaling device before roughing, 4-roller roughing mill, hot coil box, cutting head flying shear, high-pressure water descaling device before finishing, 4-roller 7-stand finishing unit, laminar flow cooling device, 3 sets of fully hydraulic underground coiling machine, steel coil transportation equipment, steel coil inspection line and other areas. The designed production scale of the project is 3.5 million tons of steel coils per year. The main steel grades include common carbon structural steel, high quality carbon structural steel, weathering steel, patterned steel strip, boiler and pressure vessel steel, pipeline steel, high strength steel for automobile structure, marine steel, etc.
　　
The rolling process of the project is more advanced in the international level, and its safety and mechanization have been greatly improved compared with the existing process, which can meet the requirements of foreign environmental protection policies, and also create favorable conditions for energy saving and consumption reduction of steel enterprises. The construction of the project has laid a solid foundation for the higher and faster development of Malaysia's green economy.
